Dear Jaguar Parents,

The Igloo is proud of the progress that we have made again the last year.  The 2008/2009 season saw our Major AA team repeat in 1st place and go to the districts. Our Squirt B, Bantam B and Major A finished second in the NJYHL play-offs. The Midget Minor A (Green) team finished third with a great effort. Pee Wee A also played in the play-offs in a very tough division finishing fourth. We had numerous teams with very successful seasons that did not make the play-offs.  This was accomplished with limited interruptions and few problems. We believe that The Igloo is one of the nicest arenas in the area and we hope our players and parents enjoy and respect the work that goes into our facility.

As The Igloo and Jaguars move forward we do so with the sole purpose of trying to improve the quality of play for your children. One of the ways we are doing so is by continuing to hire compensated coaches for the ‘09/’10 season. We are aware that some individuals may be upset by this decision, but this is being done simply because we feel that it is the best move for the most important people in the rink and that is the players. We have moved forward with this process for the last four years and by doing so we can continue to strengthen and grow the Jaguar organization.

With The Igloo’s continued dedication to power skating instructions, goaltending coaches along with the addition of the new coaching staff we hope to reinforce our commitment to the Jaguars. We are offering a strong summer program and wish to see more participation from our current players to help prepare for the upcoming season. This fall Tim Fingerhut will teach Power Skating on Tuesday practice sessions and work closely with all Jaguar coaches and their teams.

In the end we hope that all of the reasons stated above will make you think twice if you receive a call encouraging you to join another organization. We hope that the time and energy that we spend to provide the best atmosphere for the growth of the kids as both players and individuals will make your decision to stay at the Igloo easier.
