The Flyers Rookie Program is a six-week learn-to-play initiative for first-time youth hockey players that features FREE head-to-toe equipment for participants. Part of a National Hockey League-wide initiative in partnership with the National Hockey League Players’ Association, the Flyers Rookie Program aims to teach first-time players the basic skills of hockey while focusing on important “off-ice” skills such as teamwork, responsibility, and respect.

Open Hockey, also commonly known as “drop-in” or “pick-up” hockey is open ice time for scrimmage play. Be sure to bring a light and a dark jersey. Players will break into teams and scrimmage. Space is limited for all sessions and pre-booking online is recommended. Full gear is required.

The Little Jaguars Rookie Program offers FREE GEAR for first time players included with registration. Players should complete Pre-Hockey 1 & 2 in the Learn to Skate program before signing up,  or receive instructor permission. The Rookie Program introduces players to shooting, passing, stickhandling and other fundamental skills. Full hockey equipment is required.
